Nice picture showing reality that the things are going down in Japan.

Great picture. It is good that people can play in public. I can't always agree that the singing works out, but they all seem to be decent at playing instruments.

Usually I'm not a fan of Photoshop effects, but in this case the effect works really well. This looks like a great piece of pop-art, created from the real world. Nicely done!

I've been busking regularly ('street live' as they call it here) for 4 years with my Japanese friends, in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Kichijoji etc. It's tremendous fun, and provides good publicity for the artists- which is why they do it (money is not usually offered.) However, it's not legal... my friends and I have been moved on by the police many times, and even booked a couple of times. On those occasions, my Japanese friends have had to cough up 30,000 yen each, but the police have always completely ignored me!

I Think its cool to see someone doing that on the streets. It does show poor demographic though.

taiko666 Not for the money, huh? I met a one-man-band act from Australia who said he'd bought four, that's right, 4 houses in his country from many years of busking in Japan. Sounds like a sweet job to me but granted, he's been at it a while including the bubble years.

ah, the highlight of Japanese fashion: skirt and jeans!

At least she's slim enough to get away with it. I've seen heffers try the same fashion and they just look all kinds of wrong!
As for the expression on her face, at least she has one which is more than you can say for 99% of the people in Tokyo

Might have been cold that day, becasue a lot of other people in the pic are wearing scarves. Wouldnt catch me in a pair of shorts during the past winter. Not to mention other countries do the skirt and jeans thing too. and yup, not much expression on most faces out there.
