People enjoy the view as they walk along the Mishima Skywalk in Shizuoka Prefecture. The bridge, also known as the Hakone Seiroku Mishima Suspension Bridge, is 400 meters long and 70.6 meters above the ground. It is currently Japan's longest pedestrian bridge. Completed and opened to the public in 2015, it is one of Shizuoka's newest tourist attractions, offering splendid views of Mt Fuji on clear days.

You wouldn't get me on that bridge... no way. Beautiful scenery yes, I love Hakone, but like the ropeway that's something I don't fancy experiencing.

Great view! I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I can't help praying that a huge earthquake won't occur at any moment.

obviously the engineering would include an earthquake plan for the span.

The only known remedy for a crossing a bridge discomfort is closing ones eyes. When driving on a long bridge it is probably best to let some one in passenger seat control the wheel while eyes are shut .

I wonder how much it bounces around, like the Kazurobashi vine-bridge (underlain with steel cables) in Iya in Tokushima.
