Heck, you can see the lights from the Milky Way all year, but not in Shinjuku. You can see the Milky Way clearly from a mountain top in Niigata.

Round my place, they've given up putting up and taking down Christmas lights on the tree every damn year. They're all now Christmas trees permanently.
