Haha - most of the surfers I see (either at Enoshima or at Kujukuri-Hama) don't manage to stay on the board for more than 3 seconds - this guy is amazing...
I know people who can do that, and as you would imagine, it's not possible to do it on large waves. That's what they do to have fun if the waves are small. Smithin Japan, I take it you do headstands on your board even during typhoons?
This is my picture! Yeah, he has a mohawk and he is a pretty cool dude actually. He was doing all sorts of stuff! The guy does some great riding in heavy surf too!

Japan can rock with huge waves. So, screw that smithin Japan comment. I can take you for rides you would never believe!

Have never seen you there as you would not be able to take the heat! We are crowded and polite and take much longer rides than 3 secs. You must be a loser that cannot even swim but are critical of all that can. Put on a wet suit little girl, and we will take you for ride.
Yelnats - peace, man - take a breath... I said "Most of them". Of course, some guys out there are really amazing. I'm not surfing myself but I am a photographer living not far from kujukuri-hama (one of the surfer's paradise). Some of them are really good, many don't stay more than 3 seconds ;).

That guy looks like he has a mohawk. Probably helps him balance ;-)

Considering the size of the waves, that's not overly amazing.
