The Rink at Akasaka Sacas

Skaters enjoy The Rink at Akasaka Sacas in Akasaka, which is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Feb 15. The rink will open all night on Dec 24 and 31. Admission for adults is 1,000 yen and 500 yen for kids.

    There is a lot of confusion among Japanese people who keep calling it Sa-kasu, when it's not. (Google 赤坂サーカスand see!) Get it right, folks.

    Sacas, pronounced Sackass, is correct. Luckily we don't have to think 'circus', because the rink is square, and the Japanese language is able to create original and meaningful English when English is blatantly/patently lacking.

    The rink itself looks OK though! ...;8)

    i don't think too many people are confused:

    saka means slope, akasaka sakas is a play on words and palindrome.

    The blurb says it means to make flowers bloom, Sakasu...

    They definitely seem to be confused, though, as the general populace is getting it constantly wrong.. Do the check.

    I'm surprised there aren't 200 people on that rink. 1000 yen, not bad I suppose.
