Fireworks light up the sky over Tokyo Bay on Saturday night. More than 12,000 fireworks thrilled nearly 700,000 spectators who packed vantage spots in Tsukij, Harumi, Odaiba and other areas in Chuo Ward for the 80-minute extravaganza.

great picture. i skipped it this year, so stupid coppers in toyosu must have had a good easy day. saw the ones in chigasaki. atmosphere there was much better i must say.
