  They could have made Sky Tree look much cooler, like one of the Petronas Towers, but they went with this instead.

  I'm not necessarily anti-Sky Tree but I have to say that if you live in the neighborhood this isn't the same as having to view Mt. Fuji everyday.

  Sky tree can really be appreciated when you are looking outside of the city and look back at it, it stands in the middle of nowhere with nothing tall around it. But I guess that won't last long. The name "sky-tree" is so corny, they should've gone with the other entry "Edo-Tower".

  Looking at the Sky Tree; it resembles a cross between a hypodermic needle and a rectal thermometer.

  Does anyone know this tower has a triangular base which becomes circular as it nears the first observation deck? It is quite impressive from up close.

  Nah, don't like the name. What about the ocean and the air, or the mountains? We might upset other parts of the earth with the choice of "sky" so why not just call it a "holiday tree"?

  In the early 3D renditions it looked pretty cool. I thought is was supposed to be all white Now it looks like a crows nest on an old decrepit battleship.
