Traditional firefighting

    no ? you shud say yes considering Japan had firefighter during EDO period while other Asian countries didn't know anything about firefighter.

    Is that them fighting fires? Or are they just trying to get away from the rising flames? Not A hose in sight!

    I often find it best to fight fire while upside down, it really gives me a better understanding of the whole process.

    The ladders were used to spot the location of the fire. And firefighters back then didn’t have any hoses so they basically sledgehammered all the neighboring houses to stop fire from spreading..
