unpopular? maintaining (manipulating?) approval rating of....above 50% (!)
Alistair Carnell
I just wish that Fluck & Law were still making the show 'Spitting Image' they'd have a field day moulding his face.

Excellent! NOW make that rally mean something! Go out to the polls and vote out ANYONE who is in or is allied with the LDP.

Lol, I have been tempted to draw that moustache on street posters several times..
Pukey2
He looks worse in person.

Don't - you can actually be arrested for it! I read about it happening a few years back.

Looks like the "double tongue language" has been clearly identified.

I think that the poster is much too complementary, and could even be made by one of Abe's supporters.

"Not Wanted" would have been a better caption.

Until Japan has regular reapportionment, we will continue to be ruled by these Abe type supported from country bumbkins. The LDP is way over-represented in the Diet. The depopulated countriside will destroy Japan.

I'm actually with gokai wo maneku on this on. One of the reasons why the LDP keeps in power is because of disproportionate representation in rural areas. I have friends who complain about this all the time, as they have ONLY the LDP as an option, if there is even a vote, so it is either them or don't vote.
Anyway, this kind of thing is more proof that Japan is not the democracy it claims to be: Abe is quite unpopular in many circles, but he knows his party will win and uses that to say, "This is proof you want me (us), and so you want my personal quest to change article 9, secrets law, etc., even if you say you don't."

In some countries demonstrations will not be tolerated and will be crushed in a minute....
