    Does that mean Pooh is homeless as well? He couldn't keep up the payments on Pooh Corner? Bad mortgage, unemployment, poverty, and despair? Tell me it ain't so!

    Perhaps if they employed the A.A. Milne character as a cute mascot for the dispossessed the public would start paying more attention to this issue.

    The Hundred Acre Wood has really gone downhill. I heard Christopher Robin is living in a boarded-up crack house, and Piglet shot Tigger over a pair of old shoes. Just sad.

    This reminds me of when I was very small and growing up in Australia. Every summer we used to travel to our summer house by the sea-side. The trip involved driving down a long winding mountain road. Anyway, opposite one of the hairpin corners, there was a little cave. Some passerby had erected a little mail box and a sign that said "Pooh's Corner." I remember that for a number of years I actually believed that Pooh Bear lived there.

    Moreover, despite the periodic cleanups of the mountain road (getting rid of graffiti, etc.), I seem the remember this signpost always being there. Oh, the memories of childhood.
