Japan’s Fujin Raika, right, battles American Natalie Brown in a super lightweight six-round bout at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall on Friday night, as professional women’s boxing made its debut in Japan. Raika won the bout.

Nope, don't like this. Don't like it one bit. Call me what ever you want, sexist, whatever, but women have no place in the ring. I've always admired their gentle side (not to mention physiology) and to see this just makes me sad.

Why stop with women? Don't like men boxing either. I fail to see the point of two guys training themselves to peak fitness and then trying to KO each other (with the associated risks of serious injury). Pointless in the extreme. At the same time, however, I do like other martial arts, just don't like boxing.

timborder You're referring to professional boxing, not amateur boxing. The latter is a clean sport with full head, groin protection and no real risk of any injury. Please do not confuse the two.

Along with Women's Freestyle Wrestling, Women's Boxing has to be the biggest joke of a sport ever created. I can understand women wanting equality, but there are just some sports women cannot do well. There are also sports that are definitely not men's sports, too, but I digress: Women's Boxing and Women's wrestling are just about the most ridiculous sports I've ever seen....
