Oh, what a shame all those pretty cherry blossoms are dead now. And all that nasty garbage too. I wonder if Kim Kyung-Hoon's Saison poster photo is in that garbage..?
I think that mountains of trash/rubbish are always caused after big parties in any country. These mountains of trash are cleaned up soon anyway every year. People try not go there as you might be one of them who leave a little trash/rubbish there.
The one thing I do love about hanami is that it's the only time of year when people commit random acts of kindness to people they don't know. Like giving their leftover food and drink to the people partying next to them when they leave.I wish people would keep that 'hanami spirit' all year round.
Yes, the wonderful cycle of spring in Japan -- the pink blossoms followed immediately by the blue trash bags. And some posters hear wish this "spirit" could last all year?

That's just one park. Half a dozen of those bags would be full of ciggy butts.

The Hanami party in japan is the only day of the year Japanese socialize like western people. Then it is turned back off the next day.

That is a staggering amount of garbage, I wonder how much made it to trash bins and how much was just dumped on the ground.

It's pathetic how some posters try to claim that a small amount of rubbish somehow negates Japan's unique connection with and love for nature.
