One of the world's most respected musicians, Maurice White, bandleader of Earth Wind & Fire, passed away on Feb 3. A man who wrote many of the group's biggest hits with him, six-time Grammy award winner Al McKay was here in Japan last week.
We had a chance to catch up with the former EW&F member between performances at Billboard Live. During his live shows, his current group, Al McKay's All Stars, paid tribute to EW&F by performing some of the biggest hits he wrote together with White.
In this interview we conducted in his dressing room, we asked McKay to share some of his memories of working together with the late Maurice White.

EW&F what a fantastic band! I grew up listening to there songs, Wow! so many memories! I don't think that they ever made a rubbish song, and for those young people out there, thinking who are EW&F?, you tube them and enjoy the music, RIP Mr M White
