S K is one country really worth the diplomacy to enlarge dialogue amd friendly relations .....................It is truly a democratic country, and has the same interests in geo-political dynamics of the Asian nations . . . . . There is power in partnership.

Good luck, Abe. It's apparent you have no genuine intention to improve ties with Korea after appointing rightwing "Takeshima" politicians to office.
Regardless, most Koreans today don't really care about the noise coming out of Japan any more. Japan is no longer important. And Japan will not change. Japan values tradition more than change.

all this effort to smooth the feathers with neighbors are useless once you turn around and see them visiting yasukuni, rewriting history books, denying ww2 related crimes...
its like they shake with the right hand, then slap you with left

South Korea could be a great country if they could just get rid of the enormous chip on it's shoulder, the inferiority complex they have towards Japan. Instead they side with China which pulls the strings of North Korea, which kills South Koreans. Great logic there.

And yet in your very first sentence, you bring up rightwing "Takeshima" politicians, the usual sensationalist crap straight from Korean news articles.

Abe has appointed several people who tried to visit Dokdo and claim it as Japanese.

"While the South Korean government has tried not to overreact to what is generally viewed here as a group of ultra-rightwingers’ hoping to change their party’s diminished status at home, it cannot be unaffected by the widespread irritation at their incessantly provocative acts."
These kinds of acts seem more "sensationalist" to me.

Sir Edgar,
It's rare that consecutive comments you make supports my initial argument.
No. They were planning to visit Ulleungdo which is recognized as Korean territory by both Japan and Korea.

It is about time to discuss Takeshima issue face to face for the future of two nations. Japan needs to keep sending its message.
