...but they don't need it! This just doesn't sit well, even if they're supposedly stimulating the economy. I smell the ripe stench of corruption, like they're bleeding Japan dry before their time is up, masking it as stimulus.

I wish they would stop talking about who is gonna accept it and who isn't and hurry up and give it to us. I'm gonna qualify for my pension before I end up seeing any of it. All this talk sure isn't stimulating the economy.

I think political leaders should say that people that feel that dont need the money should not request it. For people that have an annual income of 15 million yen (politicians, doctors, lawyers, etc) 12,000 yen wont change their routines.

And will one of them do an Aso in the future? Namely, claim that he was against the idea (eg Post Office privatization) but just went along with it for reasons of politics. With all this pork-barreling, I am surprised that these chaps can get their snout in the troof.
