Hey, If I am not mistaken, Aomori is also the wonderful place, where one of the municipal workers was stealing millions of yen to make his Chilean prostitute lover, ANITA, happy? Now she is back in Chile having a great time while the J looser from Aomori is still in prison?

Aomori has provided grant money from public funds for officials to take private trips, including family vacations to Tokyo Disneyland, since fiscal 2001

They're still trying to live in that wonderous Bubble-era, where money flowed like water, politicians didn't have to lift a finger, and the public would just turn a blind-eye to wasteful spending of public funds. Old habits die hard.

Then again it could just be your good old-fashioned corruption; that's definitely not a stranger to Japanese politics.
