President Putin looks unhappy. Probably that's one of those low, squishy armchairs that is uncomfortable for people with long legs, so he is sitting on the arm instead.

Means he wants every other country to back off and let China claim all that it desires unconditionally and without any resistance, and if they dare oppose, China will escalate things.

Get Russia,Japan,China and S.Korea on the sidelines and settle their B.S. squabbles. There is nothing constructive or productive in bitchy, unnecessary territorial gripes.

This issue is not what the APEC meeting is about, but it plays in the background and since it is mentioned here I'd like to state that Russia needs to be held accountable for having blood on their hands.

give Russian and Chinese what they want in regards to the disputed rock claims in exchange for them to support UN's Syria effort. Since the disputed rocks will be in limbo in the forseeable future and can only cost problem for all nations concerned, why not settle the issue for Syrian lives. Japan can then claim moral highground as the ONLY peaceful nation that cares about civilian lives.............
