What Aso' says is 'off-topic' - Anti-terrorism : Article 9, Climate change: there is no global warming this year, N.Korea issues, japan does not want to pay her share.

so he puts on his serious face when talking to the UN but tells the 126,000,000 people in Japan his main goal is to 'make it a cheerful place'. lovely

So after your speech in UN,the japanese people will be flooded with "Japan is a strong and cheerful" nation illusions in their mind! Aso San you are really a dream factory!

Great.... I'm sure the UN bothered to listen to at least the first two promises, probably all the while wondering if a THIRD PM would suddenly quit within the year.

Committed to carbon trading, strict immigration and getting money from North Korea.

Japan needs to become a "normal" country first. Just being an economic powerhouse isn't enough.

OssanULTRA: Japan needs to become a "normal" country first. Just being an economic powerhouse isn't enough.

Japan is a normal country and thankfully one of the very few without rampant, overbearing nationalistic fanaticism (e.g. totalitarian China and the two Koreas) or religious extremism driving neofeudalistic policies (the U.S. and the populous Islamic nations), or just plain out-of-touch (Australia).

  • thepro at 02:25 PM JST - 26th September

What's your definition of normal, MichaelJP?

  • gogogo at 03:06 PM JST - 26th September

What was the point of that?
