Maybe at last, this hot summer, the Japanese people will exercise their democratic right, given to them by the Americans after World War II, and rid themselves of the Fascist LDP/Soka Gakkai Alliance. Dare we hope for change? Of course, the 3 million foreign residents if Japan dont have a chance to vote, because we are second-class citizens. Useful for paying taxes to support Japan`s growing numbners of geriatrics, but thats all.

Wait and watch, Aso has proven record of changing his mind every now and then.

realist: the 3 million foreign residents aren't second-class citizens. they're not citizens at all. if you want to vote, you can take the japanese citizenship test, become approved by your community, renounce your current country's citizenship, then vote.
or you can realize that you're not japanese and you don't get a say in japanese politics.

So either something very good for Aso is going to happen in late July, or something really bad for him will happen in Mid-August...

I think the only good thing that's happened for Aso was Ozawa's resignation, but that's probably better for Japan than it is for him.
