Small fries, I'm going to prevent three earthquakes this year and make stocks recover next year before creating 10 million jobs worldwide. I'll be back in two years to get your thanks.
I hate to say it, but I really think it is best to hope he can't create these jobs. Because as others have pointed out, these will simply be one-off construction positions building new roads to no where. There will be no lasting benefit to the economy, except to the LDP-connected construction companies. The debt load here is way too high already.
1.6 million jobs in three years? Coming from the man that want to give 12000 yen to the people, these must to be another questionable plan with a big waste of taxpayers money.
This is the Bush stimulus, tax cut, and surge strategy. Promise the stimulus checks will create jobs, and if jobs increase (they didn't) then take credit. Promise that tax cuts will pay for themselves and balance the budget (they didn't), and if they do then take credit. Promise that a surge in troops will reduce violence in Iraq (after 5 other promises on Iraq), and if that happens then take credit.
Well, 1 out of 3 ain't bad for Bush. This just goes to show no matter how incompetent you are, you can take credit for the most amazing things as long as you lie about it in advance. I'm still working on those earthquakes.
forced retirement of all elected officials who are older than the retirment age should create few jobs and get some people in charge more in touch with reality

The key word is 'plans'. Not that he will.....
Not one word on how he will do it.

OK. By the end of this year, 1.6 million poeple will have lost their jobs.
In 2 years, the economy will somehow recover and return to "normal"
1.6 million - 1.6 million = 0
I think he doesn't take much risks.

Aso to create 1.6 million jobs? Aso is living in Cloud Cuckoo Land. The sooner the LDP are booted out, the better.

1.6 million jobs is easy, they will just loose 1.6 million workless records in the floor and say that those peeps found a job . .lol
