Talk about grasping at straws.

Even before his rise to power I was completely convinced his goal was only to become the PM, he had absolutely no thought to policy or goals. Unfortunately he got there and realized himself that he didn't know what he needed to do either. Must be a very sad thing to reach your pinnacle in life and then get dumped because you didn't know what to do once that pinnacle was reached.

Doctors, lawyers, teachers etc., all need qualifications to get their jobs, pity that leaders of countries don't.

LDP will be defeated in August because people want it that way and Japan is a democratic country. DPJ will change everything that LDP has done for years. They will do it here as someone said "We can change".

Now this is so true. For years all the DPJ has been doing is discredit the LDP without offering any plan how to do it better. I am not so sure the LDP will be beaten. Hatoyama has really nothing to offer except empty promises and vague slogans. Ultimately the responsibility for the political mess the country is in lies with the disinterested electorate.

You have proved yourself to be a useless politician, you cant even use the Japanese language correctly, your family name is tainted with the blood of innocent Allied soldiers whom your grandfateher used as slaves to get your famils wealth, you preside over a political party of foreigner-hatinf Fascists and you and your party dont give a damn about anything or anyone, other than being re-elected so you can continue to live your wealthy lifestyles and eat in exorbitantly expensive downtown Tokyo restaurants. Got the message? The only thing you did right these past years was call a General Election yesterday. You have started the cpuntdown to you and your Liberal Dinosaur Partys demise from the political scene. Good riddance.

Don't kid yourself, the DPJ is NO different from the LDP, and once they win, and I think they will, they will not fulfill any of their promises but keep doing the same old thing the LDP has always done.

stirfry - if you deny it, you say America is not democratic country. Remember America gave democracy to Japan after the WW2, but not same democracy. Japan has got something better from America, UK, WGermany, France, etc.
