If Aso wants to create a "happy" nation, he could start by immediately calling a General Election and allow the people to use their democratic right to eject him and his fascist cronies.

Betting Good question and interesting point. I have heard of no other national leaders anywhere coming out with this meaningless crap. Still, the positive side of it is that perhaps they do realise that Japan is a sad, dark lace filled with citizens whose lives are boring and meaningless.

What does each new prime minister feel compelled to give his administration a carchphrase? Let's leave that stuff to Kitty and Sanrio, okay?

While stopping short of clearly stating he will not visit the controversial Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, the minister said he would ‘‘decide appropriately’’ in his new capacity as minister whether or not to pay homage there.

    Ohhhh...now its much more clear.

First it was Utsukushii Japan for Abe, now Akarui Japan for Aso. Ah-so.

Let the elections begin and the sparks fly!

    Cheerful nations are important:

Look at South Korea -unhappy and hate everyone, refuse to unify with the North.

USA - spending 1 Trillion on a bailout and still not happy.

I blame these tainted foods on some of this.

Iran: Surprisingly happy, but is sulking in others misery true happiness?

Zuleyka, if I had any real answers or actually, anything of value to say ... I would be doing something better than what I'm doing at the moment.
