Campbell says U.S.-Japan ties are not in trouble

does it mean 'erotic' that arouse a quick and intense emotional reaction, or 'irritating' that stimulate in a way that provokes a response?

Not in trouble? I've read elsewhere that they are, over numerous issues.

Interesting statement. Almost sounds sarcastic. I'd be wary of people spouting hyperboles and metaphors on-the-record to describe foreign relations.

...and in a follow-up statement, Campbell said that he hopes, "to become one of those blue guys in that awesome documentary called 'Avatar'". When it was pointed out that they weren't real people and that wasn't a documentary, he replied, "Really? It sure looked real to me!"

Campbell reminds me of that Iraqi spokesman who's standing before the cameras denying that the Americans are in Baghdad as fighting is going on in the city behind him. Campbell is in serious need of a reality check.
