This would be a great deal if it means cheaper fuel for Japan!

Japan should buy oil from chavez, he's probably one of the least evil sources to buy from.

Chavez is a little scary, and yes I would venture to agree that he is becoming a dictator. With him in Venezuela, and Raul Castro in Cuba bringing more military types into the government, latin america is going to get very interesting in the near future.

sharky1: TRUE, indeed would be a great deal

Deguchisan: Really? I think he got lucky with the high oil prices past years, and help him to roll his "socialistic" policies... but he is a great manipulator of venezuelan masses...

Andrew66: Fujimori was a dictator? not oficially, but certainly hsi regime had a democracy mask, same here... the guy wants to be president up to 2021!

telecasterplayer: i dont think he is the least evil oil country president

terebiko: lets hope that goverments like Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua grows in the area for the good of latin america

I like Chavez. Especially when he would make fun of Bush.

Of course Chavez needs money from Japan. He has mismanaged the Venezuelan economy to the point that inflation is going up as well as unemployment. He is also using the military to seize the port facilities in areas where the politicians are from the opposition political parties and shutting down broadcasting stations that disagree with him.

Making fun of Bush is easy. Ruining an economy, setting up a dictatorship, now that takes talent!
