Now all we have to do is have the foreign minister greet him. That should make China angry. Good.

Like Taiwan, Japan is not under Chinese rule, so can do anything they like. Dear China, grow up!

I thought China doesn't like to intervene in other countries' domestic matters - Sudan, etc? Isn't this a domestic Japanese matter? China's government wouldn't be - gasp - hypocritical, would they?

Right. Kadeer alone forced thousands to be injured, and hundreds killed, there is no doubt, the same as the west could say Mao forced hundreds and thousands, but I think freedom of speech is best, so Ma has a point. That is, Mao is not responsible for China's discrepencies, but, those like Ma, who would separate Kadeer and not give unity. That's how this reads to me. Maybe Ma doesnt understand the Japanese language.

Japan must be very tired of China's complaints. Nothing special, business as usual.

Interfering in other countries internal matter has become a regular habit of china. As it becomes powerful it is becoming more and more arrogant.

Wow, I didn't know about her visits to Japan and Oz. Must go and listen to her speak. Should be interesting. Then I can make up my own mind on this issue a bit better.

PS Many thanks to the Chinese Foregn Ministry for advertising the visits.

A pity the Chinese can't find the time to spew some vitriol at any of the despots they support. I don't think we can count on China to represent any part of human rights. We've been warned time and time again by the Chinese themselves.
