When a Communist Government praises you, it must be bad!

To quote the immortal Monty Python: "And now for something completely different."

China can praise Fukuda today. But Aso will reverse any gains with his persistent foot in mouth disease.

Fukuda almost functioned as China's surrogate to the extent that he was poking India in its strategic concerns.Trade counts but not at the cost of Japanese independence

    What Japanese independence?

Was Fukuda really serving China? I don't think he effectively served anyone. He was just less unfriendly to China than many of his peers.

Japan has to work something out with China or be buried by them. There is no hiding from this. China will dominate Asia soon. For bad I think. But none the less in the position of power. Japan needs bright leadership to deal with this.

Exactly. You should antagonize them at every turn. I'm sure that's exactly what the ant biting my foot this morning thought too, until I crushed it.

Fukuda was no lackey of China, but the japanese population probably thought otherwise of him.

If they bring back Koizumi, it's best for China to simply ignore him as was the case in the past.

I believe China is the one who had to make the most effort, to overcome the rabid anti-japan sentiment of a couple years ago and literally do a 180 degree turn. Fukuda on the other hand simply had to do nothing to upset the masses.

Sino-Japan relations too "good" at the moment. We need another Koizumi. Then China has nothing to lose.

You know I read all this BS about China and Japan, and all worry about Japan and China relations , what is good for it, what is bad for it, who is good for it , who is bad for it..

There is only one side that has the problem and that is CHina. I have not read anywhere , where China has made Japan mad. It is always Japan making China mad, now why the hell is that???????

So the question is.. Is it so important who will suck up to China the most or does it really matter????????

And if it does matter then why put Japan in a position to be the suck up !

Even when China has some sort of shit face look at Japan, all keeps going on as ussual, I do not see bombs falling or people dying or being killed, if so it is in China and government anger creating hate in China's society. Is this the basis of friendship that the two countries base relations on. Seems like a one sided situation and Japan always being the one to bow to the stinking Chinese!

I should add, instead of laying all on Japan, the US where I am from also bends over backwards to China.. This is sick!!!!!!!!

    tkoind2 said it pretty well.
