Well-said, Mr. secretary of state!
With Washington's endorsement on the talks between Japan and China, relation could take a turn for a bit of improvement.
However, it's too early to expect subtantial progresses to be made in near term. What we can expect is that those talls signaled some changes of positions in all parties involved, that may reshape geopolitical landscapes a bit.

Until the Peoples Republic of China wants a true peace it will NEVER happen. The communists party of China uses Japan as a focus to take the people of the Peoples Republic of China attention from the real problems inside Mainland China to Japan and Japanese. Thus as long as a distraction is needed there will NEVER be peace.

Hopefully their talk didn't sacrifice Taiwan's profit !
