I don't envy Hillary on this trip. It'll probably be quite uncomfortable as she'll be forced to listen to others while trying to convince them that everything is under control. Might be tough, especially if Kim Jong-Il decides to test out that missile on his birthday!

It is utterly stupid to remove "about" 8000 Marines from Okinawa and at the same time move in twice that amount of Japanese Self Defense troops into Okinawa. I will write President Obama and suggest they remove all the Marines and their dependents back to the United States. Lo the poor Ryukyuan.

To the people of Japan; this persion has a long and documented history of saying whatever needs to be said that that particular place and point in time. No, this is a good move.

Okinawa, has, I could be wrong, a 15-25% unemployment rate. The bases occupy 25% of the main island. The bases are a major part of Okinawa's economy as locals work their. Of course it would be nice if there was no military presence, but now is not the best time to put most of thousands of people out of work.

For sure. But not as often or blatantly as Hillary. There's a good reason why Americans are sharply divided into those who adore her and those who hate her guts.

Say what you will about Mrs. Clinton but like all of us she has a boss like all of us do. Even if you are the boss of your own business your boss is the people that give you the business. Therefore she will be able to do no more or less or Say any more or less then what she is suppose to based on the agenda of several. We have a President but as long as we have congress it is the decision of many. So if talks succeed of fail it could never be blame on one or two person in governing situations. I think keeping the lines of communication open is the best thing to do and reminding those who think their problems are greater, there is always somene or another country who's problems are worse.
You can always tell by media and the comments of those who always need to blame someone that if something goes wrong they want to pounce on laying the blame.
I think she and this new administration should be given at least the chance of a full term. They are already being judged on less then 1 month in office.

Remember.. the Clinton's have had absolutely zero luck with the DPRK. The last agreement was violated by the North before the tires left the tarmac.
