I wonder who he voted for....

  • Noripinhead at 04:12 PM JST - 26th August

Is he really that tall? It looks as if he needs to duck in enter the building.

and he voted for LDP: if we get elected, how the hell will we keep those bombastic impossible promises?

If the DPJ takes over Lower House, it would be historic. Can't wait to see the possible future PM Hatoyama when he goes later this year to the APEC Leaders' Meeting later this year in Singapore, then HOST the 2010 APEC Forum in Yokohama - he would be seeing this as PM for the 1st time - I would love to see his reactions.

Hell of a lot smarter than Aso.

And his wife wore jeans for the press?

Regardless of the dislike of the LDP - I am quite fearful of what these ( always in 2nd place ) clowns are planning to do... It's probably the first time that I've found myself HOPING that the party to get elected actually DOESN'T keep their promises...

Many of my Japanese acquaintances that I talk to about this election are actually thinking about switching their vote BACK to the LDP because they just can't fathom what will happen to the country if the DPJ gets in....

FWIW - they didn't feel that way a month ago but the absolute ridiculous pandering that's been going on is not fooling anyone methinks... Could be a tighter race that everyone thought a few weeks ago !!!!

    Cheers,

And that's exactly what the LDP want you to think. You've taken the 'you'll be sorry if we lose' line beautifully. The fact of the matter is the LDP have had it too sweet and for way too long. They're going to lose and lose big time and of course the DPJ will trip and fall sometimes but my god, could they even by the remotest chance be any worse than these clowns in power now? Impossible.

Well said nutsagain - the LDP are a relic of the Cold War and also deserve to be consigned to the dustbin of history.

  • bobbafett at 10:42 AM JST - 27th August

fredster is on the money. LDP will scrape home with partners.

  • harmoneeikaiwa at 09:28 AM JST - 28th August

LDP scrape home with... what ? Better up your political IQ on that prediction. The promise of money for kids alone, will get young mamas going to the polls for their first time ever. I suppose the LDPs religious freaks partner is a viable candidate in the betterment of Japan ? A lot of ill informed scare mongering by supporters including gaijin.Weak indeed.
