Why no name? Did the Foreign Ministry not release it, or is Kyodo News kissing ass again? This country's "government" is a joke.

jerseyboy - Although it said he works for the Foreign Ministry, he is Japanese and therefore no name would be printed. Printing his name might bring show this guy up and make people think less of him. Names are only printer for scandals involving non-Japanese.

Jerseyboy, a joke is too good a word for this government. I feel like becoming famous, I think I will go and stay in the Conrad, commute to work from there, order room service, get a massage or 3, and etc etc etc. I bet; 1) my full name, nationality, age, marital and visa status get printed and probably a comment by an official saying how bad "Gaijin" are. 2) I won't be able to wait for a written bill before, 3) I'm be arrested and charged with theft for not paying. 4) spend my time in jail doing hard labour till I have paid off my bill (or I die)

buggerlugs - you forgot about starting protests and people telling you that you "rack a disciprine". (Which is an actual quote I saw on a protester's banner)

    What's with all the negativity?

This guy will surely have atoned for his acts by bowing (and possibly even crying) in front of his kacho.

Why not just combine the crime and politics sections since the two are most definitely one and the same!

  • soldave at 02:53 PM JST - 28th August

Richard III - He bowed? Ahh, I didn't know that. Everything has changed now! ;)

I wonder what were the "personal reasons"? Closer to fuzoku?

  • doedel at 04:00 PM JST - 28th August

    since leaving his home ...

Not only no name but also not written "homeless".

  • soldave at 04:08 PM JST - 28th August

timeon - Maybe he was caught by his wife being generous and helping a Chinese student/adult entertainment worker avoid police crackdowns...

WHY would a hotel go on letting someone stay there for 300 days without paying the bill? Shouldn't this have been dealt with way before?

  • Damax6 at 01:33 PM JST - 2nd September

wooooowwwwwwooooo,50bills per night!!!!. is that just the room charge...????. hahahahahaha. whatever the reason is, i guess he felt "entitled" to reap the benefits of the elite, 'cause that is exactly what the members of ANY country's Foreign Min. feel.

The hotel just simply thought that since he was ELITE, paying the bill will be no problem....Anyway, we the tax-payer will end up footing the bill.....like he is really going to fork up that cash??!!!
