Hope Ota will resign voluntarily and thus free Fukuda from taking any harsh measures against him. However, authorities should continue with their investigations.

Apparently the amount Ota has misappropriated since 2000 comes to around 48.28 million yen. I'm sure they were all "actual expenses," i.e. they managed to spend all the money, but what on?

'Harsh' treatment, eh? I'll bet he loses his coffee money for a month. Of course, when you claim your coffee money to be in the millions of yen for said month, I guess that can amount to quite a bit.
