I will dissolve the lower house at a time that will not interrupt the planning and implementation of various policies,”

Well, he may carry on but is he aware that 76% people do not approve his planning or policies?

Fukuda will disslolve the Lower House when he thinks that the LDP have a chance of staying in power. I like him better than his 2 predeccessors, but he really is a dead duck. The sooner Japan is rid of the LDP/Soka Gakkai alliance, the better.

It'll be soon, I think. Unless they do something incredible and make everyone think they're fantastic, there's no way the LDP will hold on to their lower house two-thirds majority and I doubt they'll be winning back the upper house any time soon. It's interesting to speculate what will happen if they win the election but lose the power they have at the moment to push through any legislation that the upper house votes down.
