    Another move which would seem to fly in the face of public opinion. But the only opinion that matters is their own, and it looks like Fukuda the geek might be at risk of less lunches with the construction big-wigs this year. Don't give up you nerd! You can do it! Well no, actually by this time tomorrow your stance will largely have been a waste of time other than for showing your continued support of your partners in your pocket.

    There's a lot of construction industry bribes at stake here. No wonder Fukuda and the rest of the LDP are reluctant to give up on the tax.
