    blvtzpk,

My thought exactly. It's also amazing that he kept Abe's cabinet for this long; didn't Fukuda's father have any friends who had sons competent enough to be in a Fukuda cabinet?

If he does it once more he should go find a new job at the casinos.

Why bother. Like pouring all the grey dull marbles back in the bottle and picking more dull grey marbles. What Japan needs is an entirely new political system.

Why did the NHK Noon News have pictures of Taro Aso shaking hands and smiling? Is he going for Fukuda's job, now that Yasuo is reduced to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic?

From tv news reports it appears that old structure is under going minor repairs/renovation. And very soon they will show us the difference 'Before' - 'After' !

I just heard a snippet on the 1500h radio NHK, didn't get it all 5 x 5. I think Ibuki just got named Foreign Minister. He's the guy who always reminds me of Munch's "The Scream" painting. If this is the case, the Captain of the Good Ship Japan has just given the "full steam ahead, and damn the icebergs" order. Ibuki as Foreign Minister, unflippingbelievable!

God, 'butter' bunmei ibuki? He's got one foot in the grave.
