Why conduct such polls? In J-politics it is not relevant, It is LDP who decides the fate of any PM and Fukuda is not at risk until autumn this year.

Notwithstanding the negative views of Fukuda and his cabinet, I think we can safely bet that their party will be voted back in at the next election. Don't like them? Do something about it.

He's catching up to Bush in terms of approval ratings. So if people are so unhappy with their leaders how come they don't vote the LDP out of power?
