Great for Fukuda, stand up for your rights. About time Japanese leaders stopped being doormats for the P.C. crowd. Send a clear message to the likes of the gutless New York Times. Great for him.
and here we go again, japan just doing what it wants despite common-sense warnings to the contrary...although they're just playing to their strength, which is belligerence, rather than do something as mundane as actual negotiation...and they wonder why they're hated all across asia
So which will happen first over the latest spat, a raving Korean nationalist mails a pinky to someone in the J government, or a raving Japanese nationalist tries to off themselves in public?
"Potsdam Surrender papers and those papers included the Cairo Accords of 1843 which gave back "All lands taken by violence or greed" to Korea."
You'd better take that up with Washington.
The Liancourt Rocks were not included in the hand over package
and remained marked as Japanese territory on US military maps, all
while we used these rocks as a live bombing training site.
That we ended up killing a number of South Korea fishermen who
entered the restricted area is a tragedy, but has no bearing on
ownership.
Good for Fukuda these islands do belong to Japan and as OssanULTRA correctly asserts they were never part of the hand over package after the war. UnagiDon since it's Korea they will probably burn down the Hyundai factory to show their displeasure with Japan as Korean mobs usually destroy Korean property.
Fukuda's dad could beat up Lee's dad. and now Lee's not coming to Fukuda's birthday party next week ,and they are going to have jelly and ice cream and Lee won't get any ner ner ner neeer ner
I keep saying, SK's argument is defective, since SK is a recently created state. otherwise they owe half to Kim Jong Il.
So they are claiming it over North Korea's rights too? Are North Korea's people any less Korean than South Koreas's??
Nothwithstanding all this, if any JP prime minister said "let's talk about it" earlier, they sort of give up their outright claim, even if it was on their maps. What did they want to negotiate? They should have stood firm from the beginning.

Potsdam Surrender papers and those papers included the Cairo Accords of 1843 which gave back "All lands taken by violence or greed" to Korea.
I repeat that Japan seems to be always breeding a scab on their noses. Ask yourselfs, "is it worth a bomb?"

Allow me to correct two items in my foregoing story - 1- The Cairo Accords of 1943 and 2- The spelling of yourselves.
