Doesn't climate change mean anything to these myopic people. We must shift to a post-growth economic model, where social betterment is not narrowly measured as how much energy we use and how much garbage and waste we create.

A finely tuned package of 900 policy initiatives is sure to do the trick.

But at least the politicians "agreed to shift its focus from government-led growth to private sector-led growth".

The IMF has the right idea on decisive structural reforms, but in Japan Abe's team have only just fumbled around the edges so far (plus talked a lot). Must try harder...
