Ah, the old "We got us into this, now you get us out!" approach to problem solving, much beloved by politicians, bureaucrats, and others in authority. While possibly true, I think this is a HIGHLY irresponsible message to be sending to young people. "Sorry, we've given up. Good luck!"

    Sheesh...

They may be able to work out 'good' solutions but not for free...How much G8 is willing to pay them?

sk4ek - i agree. it is "we broke it, now you fix it." they should start setting good examples - going home from work by mass transit at a reasonable hour. spend time working in the garden with their families. take of those #(%&$%$#( ties and put on shirts that are for "tropical" weather. quit sucking up the suds everynight in snackbars as (in)voluntary overtime, have that beer at home in your garden or on you beranda. car pool. ride a bicycle around town......

"...and while you're doing all our work for us -- and sorry for screwing your kids and grandkids over -- you'll be putting all your pay so that we can sit comfortably in retirement... Ready, Set, GO! Oh... and we'll take credit for whatever good ideas you have."

yeah sure, it's been less than a year ago when the politicians were putting pressure on scientists about climate research, especially global warming.

the answer is simple: more money into research, less cash into wars. more money into education, less cash into bureaucracy

if the G8 would stop blabbering on and on about nothing, worldwide levels of dangerous gasses would go down

Great points everyone. Yes. So true. Pass the results of their greed and abuses off to the youth. We ruined the Earth, now you try and fix it.
