How much money will be actually used for fighting Climate Change? I bet 85% of fund will goes to administration costs. I stop donation money to some organization because they are using donated money more than receivers received aid from them.

Environment issue is domestic issue. If they have cutting down rain forest in their country and then they are the one first suffer from float, drought, dust, air pollution and high temperature. Governments must ban Palm oil and import timber product from certain countries like Indonesia, Burma, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and other countries.

We Australia has drought in inner inland place. It isn't unusual drought for land far from coast. Most of Australia has fantastic weather since Climate Change Expert Professor Tim Flannery predicted "Sydney can expect to receive 60 per cent less rainfall than it does at present (2007) and the rain will decrease 20 - 60% in other places. Water in Dams and Rivers will decrease 60% in 2007. Now our Dams and Rivers are full capacity and majority of farmers doing well. If Australia has have Dams and Irrigation Systems like in Japan and then all lands in Australia are useable.

I believe individual nation is responsible for its own Climate and environmental issue.

Or, it is a fund to facilitate the racketeering going on so various politicians around the world can funnel their take through. Some countries using so called developing countries lack of money to steal as an excuse, other countries wanting to be able to claim they are doing something But in fact every poliTitian involved just want yet more of a cut from taxpayers in the developed nations

Clearly Mongolia is infinitely more honorable than China. That is all.

that is very much like the Chinese leadership. the citizens might have given more what their government wants to..

It is a fund without an objective and without the organizational mechanism to describe that objective. At least the AIIB seems to have a purpose and might even create the organization to make it work.

Looks like wealth redistribution to me. With wealth goes power.

Love the way they try to arm twist nations to use tax payer money to pay for their programs. I think that the people of the many nation would rather have their governments use that money for their own nation rather than giving it away to the corrupt and inept UN.

The green climate fund, doesn't do simple, the expertise needed to decide how a mish mash of institutions, NGO's, development and 'ECO' banks, ministries, development agencies, businesses, and an endless list of vested interest groups, will become 'accredited' to receive the funds resources for what is vaguely described as 'mitigation and adaptation projects' is a complex web of political gimmicks and back door eco taxation.

Obama never ceases to find new ways of pandering to 'pledge' politics, that will face major opposition from the Republicans who will control Congress purse strings from January.

The whole concept of public finance to leverage private sector capital demonstrates how hapless the public sector is in understanding the hyena mentality of privite sector equity beyond just loans and grants, including its lope sided risk guarantees, 'Dick Turpin' equity de-risking investment instruments, and more. Australia reticence is understandable.

The 'green' lobby having a pop at Japan is highly misleading.

Peoples like Al Gore is campaigning for Green Energy Fund in country like Australia because he is heavily investing in that business. He more polluted than any other ordinary citizens. I believe every country must take-care their own environment in its own country. I don't buy snake oil as medicine for to cure global warming from peoples like Al Gore and self declared Climate Experts.
