Well my friends,it's just too bad that the few remaining Aso supporters here are too afraid to comment on this article and Hatoyama reneging even more quickly than bush, who was the worst president ever in history. But hey, said supporters are probably still licking their wounds after the shellacking they took in the last election. At any rate, clearly politics in Japan needs more input from people as informed and peace-loving as I am.
Anyways, kudos to Hatoyama on the linguistic front, for managing to use a what-clause without bungling it, as Aso would certainly have done!Ha ha ha.

Mr Hatoyama will simply confuse matters even more.

“What we stated in our manifesto is certainly one promise we have made, and I still don’t think we should change that so easily,”
What a stupid statement.
At any rate it's clear that they're going to renege on a number, if not all, their promises.

Hatoyama is looking at best a year, and out. The opposition should start grooming their next PM.
