    I really wish Japanese politicians would either start saying what they actually mean, or stand behind what they say. The whole, "What I said has been misinterpreted" crap doesn't fly. If the guy believes Japan should suit and gear up, fine, stick with what you say. Might lose you a few points here and there, but will win you some for 'sticking to your guns' and being credible.

    Remember when "Courts of Justice" were created to assume the role of interpreting the Japanese constitution? I do.

    The Japanese government can insist on their interpretation of the constitution but that is ultimately the Supreme Court to decide. I hope the Japanese people remember that when populsim and the tyranny of the majority takes their toll on their minority interests and rights, they can seek relief from the courts.
