In reality most of the protests on the Tibet issue is from people who aren't from Tibet. Whilst Tibet isn't yet the perfect place oon earth huge improvements have been made to infrastructure and to civil services. The discontented are always a thousand times louder than the contented.

" Whilst Tibet isn't yet the perfect place oon earth huge improvements have been made to infrastructure and to civil services. The discontented are always a thousand times louder than the contented."

This is true. But the exact same thing can be said for Japan's colonization of Korea 1910-1945. Japan built up the infrastructure, roads, railroads, etc bringing a backwards Korea forward into the 20th century. Yet few people would argue that being controlled by Japan was a good thing and should have been maintained. The same applies to Tibet. How much "good" China has done for a backwards Tibet is not the relevant issue. What the Tibetan people want, is.

I'm sure they will have an initial meeting at which the only thing that will be decided is that a second meeting will be held 6 months later.

Japan and China to discuss human rights? What a joke - human rights hardly exist, in either country.
