  I agree with you Mushroom. Japan needs to build its military just as China and Russia and the rest of its neighbors are doing, plus stil be very well engaged with the US on everything military.

  As truth has it, why should anyone not be wiery of China's expansion, They are the masters of deception and lies. No one knows what will come out of China these days the same as no one knew what would come out of them throughout history.   China has the legitamacy to build her greatwall in space and nobody should arguing with that. The greatest threat was the pentagon they are building a national ballistic missles defense system objectived to change the world military balances. The Pentagon had invaded and ruined three countries in the last ten years(Serbia,Afghanistan/Iraq) and now they sre still not enough, sponsering the Georgian causing conflicts in the Caucasus. That was the cause of world's problems. If the NMD systems came to activiated, the pentagon will dared to intervene China's national security like Taiwan or Tibet as they done. They are aware of Chinese retaliations thats the only factor they concerning. For China that always believeing pre-emtive strikes is the only method to defense,it was the Pentagon pushing Chinese into a corner that must developing another retailiation method to deter the NMD system. Thats why China has to conduct a satellite killer test last year....this is totally self defence and if anyone complaining Chinese rights to live, either they are ignorant or prejudices over Chinese's concern of her stragetic interests. The Japanese report was very unconstructive and nothing useful to her own security but 'appeasing' the pentagon as usual. It was definately a sad news to the pentagon to discover China has the satellite killer capability but this is definately good for this world especially the majority populations of the third world were glad to see this 'achievements'!

  Sure the boosting of military budget in the last two decades was a great attritions of finanace but this long term policy will keep going in the coming decades. The Chinese military wants the Pentagon to understand China has the capability to make sure her ballistic mislles can deliver the cargo on any corner of this globe. The space weapon was to deter the NMD...without those satellites funtioning the pentagon will be leave in blind,deaf and mute! It was definately fitted with the principles of 'self defenses'! The japanese report has never viewed China's security concern but just empty accusations,thats why Chinese people viewed it was groundless,biased and never viewed as important.

  Quite amazing that China can spend so much money on it's defence and the Olympics but can amazingly underspend on its own population - still so many, many poor over there. Well, the next time there is a massive earthquake over there, I won't donate a penny. The Chinese can take it out of their defence budget and pay for their own rescues and rebuilding.

  China's medical facilities, particularly outside the metropolitan centers is abysmal. Despite being a socialist country they no longer have free national healthcare and individuals must pay (in advance in many cases) for medical treatment. We are talking about poor agricultural families paying a month or mores worth of income, or abstaining from treatment because they can't afford it. China has so much it needs to do for it's people before they spend it all on it's military or space programs.

  China is no longer a "pure" communist country. The ideaolgy of communism itself has lost it's appeal to the Chinese people so the CCP in power have moved toward a system which is supposed to be Socialist but combines Nationalism and Capitalism. Yes, it's unbelievanle that China no longer has free health care for everyone but it's true. The upshot of the last 10 years is an economic boom that has increased National Pride but has created a huge rift between the rich and the poor, with the poor being sacrificed to achieve the country's official goals. The Space program and military spending are ways in which the CCP heats up he Nationalism and pride in China so as to keep the unhappy masses quiet.

  Nationalisms is the main theme of China in 20th century and that wasnt the doctrine invented by CCP. Instead it was origin from the KMT before the overthrown of the Manchurian dynasty. Bothe of them were uncompetent to lead this country. And why China has goto nationalisms?? It was the western imperial power dumping opium to China,toxic Chinese people for more than 100 years...and the imperial Japanese aggressions of China, the western power has done nothing to stop her during the 1930s. China fought with imperial Japan four and a half years before the Pearl harbour..but what did those western powers done to stop the sino Japnese war? Nothing!

  Yes... China wasnt a perfect social welfare country but does such a country exists in this world? How many homeless people in the streets of New york,London,Paris,Tokyo,Rome.....this is average in this world. Due to your theory the NATO even doesnt deserved to exist if bringing up with this...Even we have to live in poverty we live in an honourable way, the way that no foreign aggressions anymore not even a mere tolerance! China developing the space military was caused by the bombing od Chinese embassy of Belgrade in 1999.It was those JDAMs satellite guided ammunitions dropped by USAF....thats the consequences! The Japanese defence report never bringing up the whole picture but just claimed with selected facts for provocations....that was just like propagandas and China shouldnt response with such a counterpart anymore!

  Reddragon your remarks are contradicting. It is fine for China to build systems to paralyze US systems but not he other way around.. hahaha Sorry that is not the name of the game. And the US will continue to counter any military advancements Communist China will take and for good reason as it being a communist suppresionist country where they have complete control over their people that are forced silent.. Do you forget these facts? But if you support 1.3 billion people held silent in the future of their own country. Hey that is you choice or problem… China is one of a few repressive countries left in the world and that is sure nothing to be proud of by the eyes of every major country of the world. Well except maybe Russia, but there will come a time that falling out will occur.

  Propaganda??? all knows who is and has been trying to be master of propaganda and the sad fact is China's propaganda is directly aimed at the people of China, it has been and the CCP will be sure that it always is.

  Talk about lack of information by a government and a controlled news supplier, we are talking China!! No one any worse. Billions spent of internet filters and controls while people can not eat or get medical care?? What a waste of humanity because of the few wanting to keep hold over a society they strive to conform in their own view. This is really sad for such violationx of individual human beings of this day.

  There is no doubt China will put its resources into power over another rather than taking care of its impoverished communities, this is their nature. But reality has it, there are no countries going to stand by and let a communist controlled country have an upper hand over those based on democracy. China may build their military, but it will never match the strength of the wetern allies. Also it shows China does not want to be allies with other nations because they are always on the defensive stance where western allies are partners in defense. China still is a backwards country and seems it will stay this way, which is sad for the people of China.

  I think one should worry of China and forget the US. China's history is much more negative than the US and even though some wish to describe China a s a changed nation. it is not. The US is still the US whether for or against democracy, the US pushes for it and the spread of it. China is based on denying peoples basic rights as human beings even though there are times I feel myself as not having a voice, but when elections come around I do still feel I have a choice in the direction of the future of the country. China is a threat and all knows that, Its neighbors are in wonder and they should be because of the well known deception and the well known censorship used to control its society into instant hate towards a people, one can only worry what they will pull next. I hope the US and its allies are looking into taking out what ever space weapons China produces to keep China at a disadvantage as they should be kept as. China will sacrifice anything to try and be dominate over others as history proves this as fact. The present rule over the people is the same rule from the begining, it has not changed as we seen in the face of the world of the protest pens .. Protest pens???? What a friggin joke and a lie!!!!!
