As long as Hamas is in control of Gaza, isn't at least part of this money going to support terrorists?

    Sarge,

I am sure the priority of Hamas will be to build plush houses for themselves and as usual the scraps from their table will go to the people.

Perhaps Japan Self Defence Forces could come to the rescue and use that money to rebuild...thereby keeping it out of Hamas' control. I know, I'm just dreaming on this one.

    Perhaps

Well I'm disgusted. The Gaza is not the concern of japan. Those posing as 'Israelis' are resaponsible for the mess in its entirety. And the US made the weapons and bombs which 'Israel' used to murder all those helpless people.

The money will go in some part to Hamas? Maybe. But only if the 'Israelis' hand it to them. Hamas is a contrived and controlled enemy created by Israel in my opinion.

All money for rebuilding Gaza goes through Jewish hands, so there's at least half of it gone right off the bat.

We should leave the dwellers of the M.E. alone and to their own devices. Worse still is supporting one side against the other. Japan and other so-called 'Western' nations have enough of their own problems to deal with without sending money to a war zone half way around the planet which is run by people with no apparent regard for human rights.

I'm appalled. Japan must have been strong-armed to make them cough-up the dough.

We agree withMael 100%. As long as the United States keeps supplying Isreal with "Money and Weapons" there will never be peace in the Middle East.

Moderator: Readers, please stay on topic. The subject is Japan's monetary pledge.

  • mael at 06:26 PM JST - 4th March

Well 'moderators,' What do you suggest which would be pertinent to the debate? Comments on how much it costs to rehabilitate civilians whose eyes and skin have been eaten away by the white phosphorous the 'Israelis' used? How much it costs to rebuild kidergartens that the 'Israelis' have bombed?

    Please advise.

Moderator: How about if you agree with the Japanese government's decision, what Japan's motives are, whether Japan can play a greater role in the Mideast peace process, what Japan's stakes in the region are, and how the money should be used. Need any more suggestions?

The article says that The financial aid must be backed by efforts to reach a peace deal in the region. I am most interested in what assurances the Japanese government requires in order to qualify for the cash?

I wonder if the Jews killing all of the remaining Gaza residents would permit such a charitable offer from Japan on the grounds that as the enemies of 'Israel' are now dead, there must be peace?

I believe Japan is capable of providing immeasurable benefits to the M.E. in general and not only in Gaza. Excellent Japanese architects, doctors, engineers, teachers etc... are here in large numbers. But if Japan helping means their efforts need to go through US (Israeli) beaurocracy I would surmise any benefit would become reality only if there was a meter on it which collected money in order for it to continue to work. - I suppose I'm saying I think Japan should stay well away from the M.E. and isolate and disassociate itself as much as possible from the incumbant cabal which controls the Knesset and the White House.

I think the Japanese wishing to become commercially active in the region would be either invincibly naive, and/or were there only to provide legitimate cover for clandestine subversive activities performed by those who finance them.

And that Japanese who go to the Gaza area are taking a very big risk with their lives as Israel clearly prefers to continue its massacre of Gaza people without the media hearing about anything.

What I'm really saying is I think that Japan must be crazy if it offered all that money to rebuild what shouldn't have been destroyed in the first place.
