Is UNSC still working on non-binding resolution or waiting for NK to test fire few more missiles? Is Japan pressing wrong buttons? Keep urging China... things may workout.

Pressuring China is about the only thing that can be done, so good. But HOW to pressure China is key -- if it's not something that will help/threaten them economically, it's not going to work.

It is odd how none of the so-called pacifists here ever call for the Kim Crime Family and the Stalinist thugs running the Hermit Kingdom Freakshow to be "brought before the Hague."

It i time every country became friends - making friends is not all that tough, just smile and you will get a smile back - so is the case with North Korea - Japan should extend a hand of friendship instead of going in for Sanctions - surely Kim too would do the same. Japan must always do what Japan think is right for Japan and not what others want them to think...Japan must strive hard to become a real independent and free thinking nation that it was once upon a time. If North Korea was not the buffer state that it is, China should have long ago pressed these nut-cases to at least revamp their economic model from being state planned to a partial market based one.

Since this has not been done, NK is the basket case of the world, and a continuous thorn in the US and Japan's side.

Another silly attempts by the Japanese foreign ministry! Sino Japan friendship was no more and Japan was not important to China anyway! The Japanese has no where to challenge with nuclear retailiations or abolishment of article 9!
