    spudman,

    yeah I do! Whats wrong with thanking someone for educating you?

    Nothing at all! I thought you were thanking him for agreeing with you.

    Apologies for the misunderstanding!

    Defense Secretary Gates needs to tread lightly he just can't come to Japan and thumb his nose like he does state side. PM Hatoyama should think things over and talk with President Obama during his visit.

    Apologies for the misunderstanding!

    Hey I was arguing a point without full knowledge. Valuable lesson there. No need for any apology. Peace.

    The worst thing Japan could do is terminate the Status of Forces Agreement, and whatever happens that may cause the US Military to Leave Japan and the bases, if that ever happened Japan would be up you-know-what creek without a paddle. Red China will be IN HERE within a week after all US Forces left. With only the JSDF to defend, the Red Chinese PLA would overrun Japan inside of three months...and if the Japanese think that having US Bases are bad, wait until they see what the PLA and Red Chinese would do. Remember Nanjing? Actually, remember Nanjing, which current Japanese Socio-bobbleheads call a "myth"? The Communists in Beijing do....

    The agreement has already been reached. The Hatoyama administration looks bad here.

  • Hephatsheput at 07:01 AM JST - 26th October

    Hatoyama=clown on the international stage.

    I haven't recently heard China attacking anyone. China doesn't believe in getting involved in Internal Affairs of sovereign nations. The US complains it doesn't keep land when it attacks a nation - REALLY!! I believe if Japan wants Foreign forces out of its country then so be it!

  • Makkun70 at 01:06 PM JST - 26th October

    Go Hatoyama, he's ruffling feathers, Japan has been crying out for this for years.

  • apecNetworks at 01:50 PM JST - 26th October

    If there is a war on the horizon, PM Hatoyama may have to pay a "price" for the indiscretion.

  • Seiharinokaze at 07:01 PM JST - 26th October

    The enemy is not necessarily on the horizon but on the home front. I hope he may not have to pay a price for the defi.
