    Great news, let's hope this ODA actually goes to help the communities and not line the coffers of the corrupt government officials.

    too late, playing catch-up with china again...it's all about getting access to resources and japan, again, is lagging behind

    Japan is definitely playing catch-up here ! And they shouldn't be ! Japan has been sending JICA/JOCV volunteers to Africa since the 1960's ! What a screwed up program that is !
