Japan’s ambassador to the U.S. earned some laughs in North Dakota when he mentioned the movie “Fargo” and made a solid attempt at singing a country song about the governor’s home area.

Wow. Even the ambassadors act like children.

The next time a U.S. ambassador comes to Tokyo, he should sing "月月火水木金金" to Ishihara.

It was most likely well-received. People in North Dakota have a good sense of humor, and probably appreciated it. Ambassadors don't HAVE to fit an expectation that they are drab, humorless, and uninteresting.

Having met Ambassador Fujisaki I can tell you he's no child. They're playing friendly with each other, that's his job as a diplomat. Better laughing with each other in North Dakota then exchanging bullets over some islands with China.

I'm from Fargo and I've never seen that movie. lol I'd say most North Dakotans are pretty chill and friendly, I can't see many people finding this anything but amusing and fun.
