“Just because you work long hours doesn’t mean you are productive.”

Wow. So there is someone in the LDP worth something.

adding anyone with “common sense” would realise it was necessary.

Yes, but she's forgetting that she's the only one in the LDP with common sense.

“I don’t care where the idea comes from,” she said, adding anyone with “common sense” would realise it was necessary

"common sense" is what has been missing in many government officials. but if her other policy positions mirror abe's then it's just putting a different face on the same monster.

Good on her for linking productivity with time spent at office. This is the first step to wean people off the culture of gratuitous time wasting

Makes sense. She is sounding more and more like a serious candidate. Good luck to her.

A female leader in the LDP is just about as likely as Aiko becoming empress.

I wish so , spending almost 50 minutes listening to basically repeatitive talk in the morning is sickening

There are a few of them, but it never gets them very far.

The idea has been floated by the democrats. "I don't care where the idea came from" she said which can only mean that she sideways acknowledges the democrats have had a better idea than her party of chums.

Unfortunately now many of the simple voters / followers will bleat that she is a women of vision.

Yeah, about 30 years late.

Wow, an LDP member who actually has good ideas! Shame she's a woman and therefore will be relegated to tea service for the rest of her life and would never see the PM's chair.

interesting bio. name was seiko shima. changed name to noda after grandpa famous pol adopted her in rather shady move when she was primed to enter politics and use his name to garner votes. bs. but in plus side, she speaks fluent english after senior year high school year in usa school in michigan and graduating there. also big fan of sake varieties. never married her common law husband. separated after 7 years of cohabitation. he seven years her junior. hope she makes it to PM someday.

It depends on each individual's circadian rhythms. Some people do fine in the mornings, others don't.

I don't.
