U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is planning to visit Japan next month, a Japanese government spokesman said Wednesday.
Kerry will meet with Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, as well as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, NHK reported. Topics for discussion will be Japan's contribution to fight terrorism, the Trans-Pacific Pact free trade talks and the security-related bills that the Japanese government hopes to have passed in the Diet in May.
Abe is expected to visit the U.S. in Golden Week to meet President Barack Obama as well as address the U.S. Congress.
